  • Clothing Distribution for Vulnerable Communities: Provided essential clothing to underprivileged populations, particularly in rural and marginalized areas, to alleviate poverty and improve quality of life.
  • Provision of Food and Nutrition: Supplied meals to communities facing hunger, especially during natural disasters or economic crises. Notably, the UMAPRASADAM scheme of VUF provided free food to 1 million (10 lakh) people.
  • Community Cleaning Initiatives: Organized cleaning drives to improve hygiene, sanitation, and environmental health, contributing to better living conditions and waste reduction in public spaces.
  • Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance: Delivered immediate relief in disaster-stricken areas, including food, water, medical aid, and shelter to assist recovery from floods, earthquakes, and cyclones.

  • Mahila Sangathan: Established a dedicated women's organization under VUF to provide skill development, education, and leadership training. This directly addresses UN SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by fostering economic independence and social equity.
  • Cultural Preservation and Inclusivity: Organized cultural activities to promote social cohesion and preserve heritage. This aligns with UN SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by strengthening community bonds through art and music.
  • Affordable Marriage Ceremonies: Facilitated low-cost wedding ceremonies to reduce financial burdens on families, aligning with UN SDG 1 (No Poverty) by preventing debt in vulnerable communities.
  • Matrimonial Services: Established a matrimonial service to promote compatible matches while ensuring inclusivity and gender equality, supporting informed and equitable marital decisions.
  • International Student Support: Provided comprehensive services, including airport pickups, housing assistance, and networking for students moving to the USA and Canada, aligning with UN SDG 4 (Quality Education).
  • UMA Adalat: Contributed to UN SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by offering community-based dispute resolution, free arbitration, and legal support to ensure equal access to justice.
  • UMA Counseling Service: Provided holistic support for mental health, family relationships, careers, and addiction. This contributes to UN SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by ensuring accessible emotional and social support.
