SDG Achievements
  • Clothing Distribution for Vulnerable Communities: Providing essential clothing to underprivileged populations, especially in rural and marginalized areas, to help reduce poverty and improve quality of life.
  • Provision of Food and Nutrition: Offering food and meals to communities facing hunger, particularly during crises such as natural disasters or economic challenges, ensuring that basic nutritional needs are met. and provided free food to 10 lakh people through UMAPRASADAM scheme of VUF.
  • Community Cleaning Initiatives: Organizing community cleaning drives to improve hygiene, sanitation, and the environment, contributing to healthier living conditions and reducing waste in public spaces.
  • Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance: Providing immediate relief in disaster-stricken areas, including food, water, medical aid, and shelter, to help communities recover after natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, and cyclones.
  • Empowering Women and Youth: Focusing on the empowerment of women and youth by providing skill development programs, vocational training, and creating employment opportunities to help them become financially independent.
  • Fostering Sustainable Development: Initiating eco-friendly and sustainable development projects, such as waste management, water conservation, and promoting green energy solutions to help communities reduce their environmental footprint
  • Establish an Independent Mahila Sangathan under VUF to empower women through skill development, education, and leadership training, directly addressing UN SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by fostering economic independence, social equity, and active participation in decision-making processes
  • Organize cultural activities under VUF to promote social cohesion, preserve heritage, and foster inclusivity, aligning with UN SDG 11(Sustainable Cities and Communities) by celebrating diversity and strengthening community bonds through art, music, and traditional practices.
  • Facilitate affordable marriage ceremonies through VUF to reduce financial burdens on families, aligning with UN SDG 1 (No Poverty) by promoting equitable access to resources and reducing economic stress on vulnerable communities.
  • Establish a matrimonial service under VUF to promote compatible matches while ensuring inclusivity and gender equality, aligning with UN SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by supporting informed, equitable marital decisions and empowering individuals to choose partners without discrimination.
  • Provide comprehensive support services under VUF, including airport pickups, housing assistance, and community networking for students going to the USA and Canada, aligning with UN SDG 4 (Quality Education) by facilitating accessible and supportive environments for international students to succeed academically and socially.
  • UMA Adalat of VUF contributed to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by promoting peaceful and inclusive societies through community-based dispute resolution. By providing free arbitration services and legal support at the grassroots level, UMA Adalat ensures equal access to justice for all, particularly for marginalized groups, helping to reduce conflicts and build trust within communities.
  • UMA Counselling Service providing all types of counselling support, including mental health, family and relationship, career, addiction, educational, grief, trauma, and general emotional well-being, contributing to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by ensuring comprehensive, accessible counselling services that support individuals and families in managing a variety of personal and social challenges.
